Join us for an illustrated talk depicting the story of Railways in Art & Literature from the early lithographs illustrating railway construction, through impressionism to the colourful posters of the mid twentieth century and in such classics as W H Auden’s ‘The Night Mail’, Edward Thomas’s ‘Adlestrop’ and on to serving as the backdrop in many novels and films.
